What this system stores, and who can see it.
What we collect
Your name, email address, and the membership type you selected. If you fill in a profile: your major, graduation year, and anything you write about yourself. We record which events you register for and attend.
What we don't collect
We do not store grades, GPA, or transcripts. Academic eligibility is recorded only as a yes/no status confirmed by a chapter officer.
Who can see what
Your name and email are visible to chapter officers. Your directory profile is visible to confirmed members and alumni only, and only if you opt in. Posts you mark anonymous hide your name from other members, but officers can see who posted.
How your data is protected
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. The database is not reachable from the public internet. Backups are encrypted.
Officer accountability
Changes to roles, attendance, membership credit, and moderation are recorded in an activity log showing who made the change and why.
Deleting your account
Contact a chapter officer to have your account and profile removed. Attendance records may be retained in anonymized form for chapter reporting.
